Barons add conditioning coach, Haider Ali to support team.

Ahead of the upcoming Moralee Championship, the Solihull Barons continue to build their on and off-ice team for what is shaping up to be a very credible tilt at the title.

Latest to join the support team is strength and conditioning coach Haider Ali. Haider is 21 and specialises in sports specific training and conditioning. Haider has also  boxed at a national level so is well aware of the level of commitment and hard work needed in order to achieve the required end result.

Haider himself is delighted to become part of the Barons family,

"It was great to be asked by Perry to take this role on. I know Perry is very keen for the team to be in top shape this season and I'm looking forward to being a part of this and helping Perry achieve his plans for the team."

Meanwhile Perry is delighted to have Haider joining the fold.

"We saw last year that the Moralee is a great league, high tempo, physical and highly skilled. The players know that, at this level, playing the full 60, getting to the puck first and battling for every chance is essential and to do that we need to make sure we go into the season fully prepared and sustain this through the campaign. Haider will be a big part of that"

"It's great to have Haider involved this season; Haider works at the Village gym in Shirley as a personal trainer. The Village have been a sponsor to the Barons for the past two seasons and Haider has been very keen to be more involved with the Barons from the first day he watched a game. I don't think he has missed a home game since he watched it for the first time two years ago! I believe it's a great opportunity for him. I have big plans for this season and to achieve this I need every player to be in top physical condition and ready to play three periods at a fast pace."
