Barons assistant coach Davey Graham has had a long and illustrious career as both a hockey player and coach.

A goalie, Davey began his playing career in his native North-East with the Whitley Warriors before moving down to the Midlands to play for the Barons in the mid-80s. He would continue to play through the 80s to the mid-90s for a number of sides, most predominantly the Barons and Nottingham Panthers, together with call ups to the GB squad, before finally hanging up his blocker and catchers mitt in 1996.

By this stage he had begun to embark on his coaching career with the Barons and has since then helped coach a range of teams including GB, together with the Elite league’s Nottingham Panthers and Manchester Phoenix. He returned to the Barons set-up as part of Phil Lee’s team for 2022-23.
