Brodie Jesson inks Barons deal

Hot on the heels of the signing of the young D-pairing of Henry Adams and Jordan Stokes last week, the Callum Bowley led Solihull Barons are pleased to continue to invest in the very best emerging talent by securing the signature of 20 year old forward Brodie Jesson for 2021-22.

Having iced through the age ranges for Telford Tigers junior sides, Jesson spent 2019-20 mixing NIHL National duties with MK, Telford and Leeds. He also found time for a few games in N2 with Telford where he averaged a goal a game and was that side’s highest scorer on a pro-rata basis.

Quality players with a hunger to prove themselves will always be in demand and Bowley is keen to make the most of what Jesson can bring to the Barons :

“I am really pleased that we have secured Brodie for next season. He’s a player that will bring good offence and grit to our forward lineup, add quality in depth and play a role on our special teams. He is very capable of producing good numbers and has gained experience of playing in higher leagues with Leeds Chiefs, Milton Keynes Lightning and Telford Tigers which will help him establish himself in our league and make a positive impact. I look forward to working with him next season.”

For Brodie the Barons will be a new set-up and Hobs Moat a new base but he is convinced he has made the right move :

“I’m really excited to sign with the Barons for next season. After me stepping away from the sport for a short while, I’m looking forward to what the season will bring and I know that Bowls is putting together a solid team with good depth and I can’t wait to get going.”

Keep following the Barons for more news and signings every week! There is a lot coming up!
