Players’ Player Adam Brittle reflects on his award.

Following his award of the TC Cars Solihull Barons Players’ Player of the year, Adam Brittle took time out to reflect on the past season, balancing life, work and the Barons and the award Itself.

“This has been my third season with the Barons. Unfortunately I think we have underachieved this year. We set out to win all competitions we were involved in but let ourselves down in the league. Next year hopefully we can keep the core of the team, work on our discipline and begin to reach our potential.

“On a personal level I love being part of the team. We have a great bunch of guys who all enjoy the game and equally the social side that playing ice hockey provides. Having a young family and working full time can be a challenge when balancing with hockey commitments but I still enjoy working towards being part of a successful team on and off the ice.

“To be voted players’ players in a team full of characters is a great privilege. I find this award the most prestigious given it’s voted by your peers that see you in training and games all season. Seasons can be very long and have a fair share of ups and downs and this award is reassuring to know that your still valued in your role by your co workers. Thank you to the Barons team and fans for all your support.

Stay tuned for more awards and how you can vote for the supporters player of the year.
