Perry hangs up the skates

With the recent run of results and poor performance of the team I have decided to hang up my skates and concentrate on the coaching role and getting the team back on track. It is not an easy decision, however I have spoken to a number of people, players, staff and officials and feel that we need to get back to the team that the supporters love to see play and that achieve great results.

It is always going to be hard when you miss key players in a team, however we as a team have the strength and depth that we should be able to bounce back and provide a team performance that shows why we are at the high end of the league and why we achieved such a great finish last season in the league and play off. I will be changing a few items both on and off the ice to make sure that we are working better as a team and remove some of the issues we have been having.

I thank all of the supporters for their continued support and apologise for the performances over the last few games. You can probably see the frustration from the team and individual players and this is something I will be looking to resolve.

I am looking to use the New Year as a reset for the team and push to make the playoffs again.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Perry
