The Zoo Accounting Solihull Barons and Widnes Wild battled their way through an exciting and feisty tie on Sunday evening with the Barons coming out top by the end of the sixty minutes.
The first period would be scoreless, the Barons spending long spells in the Widnes end but being unable to get the finish needed to defeat Miles Finney in the Wild net. The period would however show some of the firey attitude marking much of the game when Marcus Maynard and Joe Greaves clashed after Phil Mulcahy was held after the play halfway though the period.
