Forward Elliot Farrell has come onboard as a welcome late edition to the Direct Taxis Solihull Barons 2021-22 squad.
The speedy winger completed his degree at Birmingham University at the start of the Summer and had expected to move on for work. Securing a role more locally has however allowed a return to the Barons. It is hoped he will feature in the weekend’s Haringey games if registration formalities can be completed in time.
For Callum Bowley, the late opportunity to add some extra depth in the form of Farrell was welcome :
”I am delighted to have Elliot back with the Barons. When I spoke with him throughout the summer, he was contemplating working down south but now he has managed to secure a new job closer to home and can commit for the season which is great news for everyone. He’s a player that brings speed, a great work ethic and depth to our lineup. We are pleased to have him back and I believe he’ll hit the ground running.
