Ben Lee signed on two way deal

While the Barons full-time roster was completed last week, goalie Ben Lee, has been drafted in on a two-way deal which will see him mix duties with the Barons and North 2’s Coventry Blaze.

Ben Lee (S Crampton)

Ben is no stranger to Solihull having played for the Barons in a handful of games through 2019-20, having come up through the Solihull adult learn to play scheme. With Ben still very much in the development phase of his hockey career, coach Callum Bowley was keen to emphasise the good fit of the two-way deal for Lee, particularly given game time ice can otherwise often be sporadic for up and coming goalies.

“I am pleased to announce that we’ve agreed a two-way deal for Ben with Coventry Blaze NIHL. This deal is perfect for Ben as it will help further his development, give him the opportunity to get more minutes and still allow him to train with us during the week so that he’s maximising his ice time and remaining a key part of the Barons. I would like to thank Sean and the Coventry Blaze NIHL for making this deal happen, as I think it’s great for both clubs and for Ben’s development.
