Max Soden has been signed up for another year with the Barons in a deal which will see him continuing to split his time between North 1 Solihull and the Coventry Blaze of N2. The ability to get a chance back with the Barons while getting significant ice time with the Blaze offers the 20 year old an ideal development opportunity:
“After playing under Leepy last season and speaking to him this off season, coming back to the Barons was a no brainer for me. After a successful season last year I was very quick to jump at the chance playing more regularly for the Barons this coming year. I can’t wait to get back in front of all the fans and hear the support of everyone.
I’m excited for the challenge of stepping up and playing full time and look forward to what’s to come this year.

Barons head coach Phil Lee was also pleased to retain the services of the fast developing Soden:
“I am really pleased that Max has decided to return to the Barons for his second season. An arrangement with Coventry NIHL Blaze will see Max on a two-way agreement which will further enhance his development and ice time. Max has shown he has great ability and has played well in the games he has participated in. I am looking forward to working with Max again this year, and further develop him. Pleased to have you back Max.
