The EDG Property Solihull Barons emerged victorious in a 2nd v 3rd Moralee clash at Hobs Moat on Saturday evening in a match which was dominated early on by the Barons before the Dragons stages something of a recovery.

Phil Mulcahy got the scoring off to a start after three and a half-minutes by waiting patiently by the back post to score off of a feed from Daniel Mulcahy after he and Niklas Ottosson had pulled Dragons goalie Oliver Booth to his near post. Three minutes later and the Solihull advantage doubled as Niklas Ottosson fired home from the blue line in the dying seconds of a powerplay. By 12 minutes the Barons had made it three as Matt Maurice won the chase up the ice before sweeping the puck to Filip Byfält square on goal, the Finn making no mistake with his shot. More here
