Barons & Lions pay tribute to Adam Johnson

On Sunday evening the Barons, the Nottingham Lions and supporters of both sides took time to reflect on the recent loss of Nottingham Panther Adam Johnson. A tribute wreath was laid at centre ice prior to the start of the game as all came together to pay tribute to Adam. The wreath was then taken back with the Lions and laid at the Nottingham rink’s remembrance area.

£200 was also raised for Adam’s official ‘gofundme’ page through the Baron’s 50/50 takings, a generous contribution from the winner of the 50/50 prize and direct donations. The funds raised by the page will be used to support community and charity initiatives in Adam’s home town of Hibbing, Minnesota. If you wish to contribute further, this page can be found here.

We thank you for coming together to remember Adam and showing support for his family, friends and team-mates.
