Barons pick up 2 points from 4 in busy weekend

The EDG Property Solihull Barons picked up 2 points from 4 over the weekend with a win over Widnes at home on Saturday followed by a narrow away at Deeside on Sunday.

The game against Widnes ended 5-3 in favour of the Barons, with Solihull overhauling the visitors having 2-0 down early in the game. Goals came courtesy of Niklas Ottosson and the Mulcahy brothers. More on this game here.

The following day Solihull took the coach to North Wales to visit the Deeside Dragons for the final time this season having only just played them at their Flintshire rink at the start of the month. As with the earlier game the Barons came away without picking up any points but put in a much stronger performance and would perhaps feel aggrieved not to push things at least into overtime in a game which saw the Dragons emerge 8-7 victors.
