The EDG Property Solihull Barons notched up another home win with a 3-0 shut-out of the Hull Jets on Sunday evening in a high energy and very entertaining Moralee tie.
The Barons were the first to slot the puck home with a goal just after six minutes. Filip Byfält coming off the bench to turn over the puck before feeding Max Soden whose shot from the blue line was tipped goalward by Matt Maurice. The remainder of the period would continue apace with the Barons edging the balance of play early on before the Jets began to exert more pressure as the period wore on. Despite good chances at each end of the ice neither squad could get the perfect final touch and the Barons would retain their single goal margin heading into the second. More here.
