The EDG Property Solihull Barons are delighted to be able to announce that the Oxford City Stars will join us for our pre-season tie on Saturday 2nd September as your new look Barons step back onto the ice as hockey returns to Hobs Moat once again! (Face-off 18:30 – game included in season ticket)
With quite a few changes up and down the line-up this will be your very first chance to see the 2023-24 Barons in action and to show the boys, old and new, what it is like to play in front of a Solihull crowd.
The two sides last met a decade ago in another preseason friendly at Hobs Moat, with the Barons coming out the victors in a closely contested 5-3 win. Goals came from Rob Eley, Ryan Selwood and recent Solihull retirees Rich Slater and Andrew Whitehouse with the remaining goal from none other than current Barons coach Phil Lee.
With a big crowd behind them hopefully Phil’s boys can repeat the feat once more!!!
