Will Reed joins senior Barons

The EDG Property Solihull Barons are pleased to bring 22 year old defenceman Will Reed back to Hobs Moat, a place he began in the juniors before spells at Telford Under 18s, N1 and N2. After a spell away from competitive hockey he spent last season playing recreationally and has done enough to convince Phil Lee he is ready to make the step back-up to competitive hockey as a Baron.

“Will comes to us after having a break from competitive hockey over the last couple of seasons, having played previously in Telford.  Having seen Will in games and after talking to him, I am keen to offer him this opportunity to get back to a level he is accustomed to.  Will has a great attitude and keen-ness to develop further, and this is why I have given Will the opportunity to join the squad and I am sure he will take full advantage of the opportunity. Welcome aboard Will!

Will himself is delighted to return to Solihull and is determined to make the most of the chance he has been given to don the Fleur-de-Lis and :

“I’m thrilled to be able to call myself a Baron next season. Since a kid I have been coming to watch games here on a Sunday with my family, so being able to pull on the red & white jersey in front of our amazing fans means the world to me.”

“I would like to thank Leepy for giving me the opportunity & the Solihull Vikings/Shropshire Huskies for helping me find my feet again in hockey. I can’t wait to get started & I will see you all in September.”

Please join with us in welcoming Will back to Solihull and we look forward to seeing him on the blue line in the Autumn.
