Graham Laverick between the pipes for Barons

EDG Property Solihull Barons supporters will be excited to hear that popular goalie Graham Laverick will once more return to his posting between the ironwork when the new season kicks off in September. Graham played a key role in the Barons last season in particular taking on the bulk of the netminding following Sam Hewitt’s mid-season injury, giving the Barons a better than even chance in many crucial games in the season run in.

Graham himself is equally pleased to be returning to the Hobs Moat ice :

“We have a few new faces in the dressing room this year so while we have a bit of building to do, I’m feeling positive and with a slightly different approach to the season.

Phil Lee was also keen to recognise the importance of Graham’s performance last season and the opportunities this could offer going forward :

“Graham had a good season last year and stepped up with his duties when Sam was injured and unable to play for the remaining season.  Often Graham played back-to-back games in the latter half of the season and managed to secure a total of four shut outs in both league and playoff games.  Graham has a great work ethic and has kept us in many games this last season.  Pleased to have you back Graham.

Please Graham back to the Barons and keep following us for all the latest player and plans news for the 23/24 season.
