Bailey back for 22/23 Barons

The EDG Property Solihull Barons have strengthened their defences with the re-signinig of continually developing blue-liner Bailey Challans. A fixture with Solihull for the last few seasons Bailey has emerged as a safe and powerful d-man in the Barons own end with strong break-out play and the capability to add to the offense in set plays at the oppositions end of the ice.

For Bailey, the chance to come back to the Barons and grow his game was one which he grasped with both hands:

“I am really excited to be returning for my 3rd season with The Barons. Last year finished good for us making the playoffs but losing in the semi final to the champions Solway. This is a great place to play hockey, made more amazing by the incredible support we get every week. Looking forward to getting back with Leeps and the boys and starting training for next season.

Going forward Phil Lee also sees a big role for the strong number 55 with opportunities to become an even more essential part of the Solihull set-up:

“Bailey was our 23/24 young player of the year – a well deserved award.  Bailey is a big unit; he can skate and he can hit and causes problems for the opposing team forwards in the defensive zone.  Bailey has added to his game the ability to move the puck quickly allowing the forwards to get better opportunities and openings on the opposing defence and has the ability to skate end to end. I am excited to see his game develop further this season.  Welcome back Bailey.

We are delighted to have Bailey back and hope you will join us in looking forward to seeing his play this season. Keep following for further announcements soon !
