Crowey first name on the 23/24 roster

The first name on the EDG Property Solihull Barons 23-24 roster is key defenceman and big fan favourite Richard Crowe. A single club player, the 28 year old has been a fixture at Hobs Moat since his junior career and now sits at number three in all time games played for the Barons.

His strong play on the puck together with a massive shot from the point have seen Richard rise up the d-lines to become a fixture in the top defensive pairings for a number of years, endearing him to the Hobs Moat faithful. For Richard, the Barons are where he feels home and he is already getting excited about September :

“Hi guys, hope you’re all having a great summer. When Leeps contacted me about signing for the 2023-2024 season, it was an easy decision for me. The off ice team are putting in an incredible amount of work behind the scenes for the club next year with many big announcements ahead. There will be some really competitive, fast pace hockey down at Hobs Moat and we hope to see you all there.

“Massive thank you to all the fans who consistently support us throughout the year, you really have made my 300+ games at Solihull special. Take care all, and I hope to see you in September.

For coach Leepy, Richard was one of the first names to be called when putting together the 23-24 Barons squad:

”Long-time Barons favourite Rich has agreed to return for the 23/24 season. Rich was not only an outstanding defenceman last season, but we also saw him adding the points to his tally and coming up with some big game goals during the season. Richard is renowned for his hard-nosed defensive play, but he also has a talent and a slapshot that most Elite players would envy. Great to have you back Rich!

So Crowey becomes the first name to be inked into the Barons 23-24 roster sheet but stay following us for much, much, more over the next few days and weeks!
