Tom Soar moves on

While Friday evening’s presentation night was a great way to end a tremendous season it was also the last Barons event for prolific forward Tom Soar who is moving on to take up a new work position in London.

Tom joined the Barons at the start of the 2014-15 season, getting his first goals in the opening league game against Widnes and when Niklas Ottosson signed a few weeks later a scoring partnership was formed which would help Solihull rip apart the league in what would be a season in which the Barons would go undefeated.

Tom has since gone on to find net around 150 times for Solihull, signing off with his final goal in the last game of the season, the play-off tie against the Steeldogs at the end of the March.

We would like to wish Tom well in his new career and thank him very much for his efforts in a Barons shirt over the last few years.
