On Lee Winwood, coach Darren Bellerby had the following to say : "Lee Winwood is a quick and explosive defenseman who moves the puck extremely well for a guy of his age and at 6ft 1inch is extremely agile for a defenseman of his size. Lee has a fantastic shot on him and is one of the guys that will work hard for his team mates and will always look to make that first pass out of the zone to catch opposing teams on the hop. He also has the wheels to cause problems when going forward as a rushing defenseman."
