Stobie as he is know to most is another player who has been on the fringe of playing ENL Hockey but with his University Studies taking priority in the past he has been unable to commit himself to a Senior setup. With his University studies now over Stobart is looking to commit himself to the Barons for the 2011/2012 Season and look to gain valuable ice time with the Barons. Coach Bellerby commented “He brings lightning pace and good hands into the Barons Squad and I think Stobart will link up really well with the younger guys on the team This season I am looking for that Mix of Experience and Youth to help build on last years Success and with Stobart it will Freshen our 3rd & 4th Lines up and give them that added speed and intensity im looking for stated Bellerby.”

“With the Loss of Rory & Scott Venus stated Bellerby I was looking to replace both with a Speed Forward who would be willing to learn and progress at ENL Level, Stobart has trialled with the Barons previously but due to his studies I didn’t feel I could offer him a roster spot. With his studies behind him I’m happy to have him on board to add further depth to the roster stated Bellerby”
