Eddie and Richard Slater have become the first home-grown players to re-sign for the upcoming season, solihull-barons.net can confirm.

The dynamic pair won the Players’ Player of the Season and Supporters’ Player of the Season awards respectively at the club’s end of year presentation evening for 2011-12.

Richard was the Barons’ top goal scorer in ENL 1 with 22 goals despite missing the latter part of the season with a head injury and has brushed off interest from other clubs to re-sign for his home town team.

‘Mr reliable’ Eddie put in a string of consistent performances over the course of last season to establish himself as one of the club’s most important marksmen and both Slater’s will now be looking to build on their promising careers with the Barons for the upcoming 2012-13 campaign.
