The Barons are pleased to announce the re-signing of Canadian defenceman Mike Rodger.
While injury reduced his appearances during the 2011-12 season, Mike's flashy performances in bringing the puck up the ice and turning defence to attack, quickly marked him out as a real fans favourite. This was embodied by Mike winning four Man of the Match awards over the course of last season, a feat matched only by Rob Eley.

While nominally a defenceman, Mike Rodger also played on the Barons forward lines last season and could regularly be seen in front of the opposition's goal.

A highly adaptable player, Rodger's ability to play on both forward and defensive lines will help to give Baron's coach Darren Bellerby a range of options as he looks to build up his league challenging 2012-13 squad. |
