Within the package is a \u00a320m Community Emergency Fund, of National Lottery money to deliver immediate funding to those who have a role in supporting the nation to be active but are experiencing short-term financial hardship or the ceasing of operations due to the impact of coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p>The grant will allow the Solihull Barons to cover Covid disrupted end of season expenditure while allowing the team to prepare for a return to play when the time comes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tim Hollingsworth, Sport England\u2019s Chief Executive, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAs the body responsible for the growth of sport and physical activity participation, we want the vital grassroots organisations that make sport and physical activity happen in this country to not just to come through this crisis but to be in a position to thrive again in the future. The \u00a320m Community Emergency fund, made possible by National Lottery players is part of a multimillion pound package of support we are providing to ease the pressure on a huge number of the organisations who are central to the nation\u2019s health and wellbeing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe are proud to be able to provide vital funding to the Solihull Barons to help it through these extremely challenging times.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Sport England Community Emergency Fund<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Part of Sport England\u2019s overall \u00a3195m support package to help the sport and physical activity sector through COVID-19, the \u00a320m Community Emergency Fund\u00a0aims to deliver immediate funding to those most in need. It&#8217;s specifically targeted at organisations, including those not currently supported by us, who have a role in supporting the nation to be active but who are experiencing short term financial hardship or the ceasing of operations due to the ongoing crisis.<br \/>\nAwards will be between \u00a3300 and \u00a310,000, and in in exceptional circumstances we\u2019ll consider awards of more than \u00a310,000.
