Last Sunday, 7th May, a pair of well known faces from Hobs Moat took time out to help the Tanworth-in-Arden based 3 Lakes Gun Club with their annual charity event in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund.

Erik Bakalar was supported by former skipper Rob Eley at the charity clay shoot and offered a bit of variety to those taking part in the event. A series of clays were launched by Erik and Rob via their hockey sticks and a ramp as a fun  alternative to the regular traps.

Both wore their Solihull Barons shirts and their ice hockey pool shoot raised a welcome £150 towards the £1500 total amount to be forwarded to the Army Benevolent Fund.

Blessed with good weather, John Timmis of 3 Lakes was delighted with how things went at the event “Both men brought their families along who supported them throughout the morning, running the event without any intervention from myself or my own team of helpers. They were absolute stars and a credit to your sport.”
