Josh Nicholls and Sam Hewitt will once more return between the pipes as the APL Solihull Barons prepare for the 2016/17 season.
Josh Nicholls returns for a fourth season with the Barons. Having come through the Telford junior system a move to Solihull came for the 2013/14 season. A player who ices with his heart on his sleeve, perhaps his highlight in a Solihull Shirt was closing down the Nottingham Lions in the 2013/14 play-off final shoot-out.
Sam Hewitt is very much a Solihull loyalist having kept net for the Barons since 2008/09. If Nicholls plays with passion, Sam plays a much more laid back game and can be guaranteed to soak up pressure should the Barons need it.

It costs , per season, up to £3,000 each for Josh and Sam to pay for the equipment that they need. Like most players on the team, they do not currently receive any assistance from the team in covering equipment costs.
