Four more for the Barons
30th June 2013
Joe Henry is joined by someone old, someone new and someone more used to sky blue.

The Motor Nation Solihull Barons have announced another four signings for the upcoming season.

Joe Henry

Key among these is the return of Joe Henry who spent much of the last season centering the Barons first line and in doing so managed to notch up an average of a goal and an assist per game.

The 24 year-old brings with him extensive experience having played full seasons for both the Elite League Coventry Blaze and the Premier League Telford Tigers.

Phil Lee

Joining Henry, is Barons and for that matter UK, hockey legend Phil Lee. Despite giving away the best part of thirty years on some of the younger players in the league "Leepy"s fitness and commitment have ensured he has continued to be a highly effective defenceman.

While it hs been reported that the hook has been taken away to prevent the veteran blueliner from hanging up his skates, it is expected Leepy will take a more secondary playing role for this season while stepping up his support to Darren Bellerby on the coaching side.

Richard Crowe

At the other end of the experience spectrum, Richard Crowe has signed to the Barons for his first full year as a senior player. Over the last couple of seasons the 18 year old mixed duties for the under 18 Solihull Knights, while picking up a decent handful of games for the Barons, picking up his first couple of senior points last season.

Connor Hubbuck

Finally, the Barons can announce the signing of 21 year old forward Connor Hubbuck, who has played in the sky blue of the Coventry NL Blaze over the last few seasons. Hubbuck is however no stranger to Hobs Moat having played for both the Barons and Knights as a teenager.

With these signings the Barons roster for 2013-14 is near complete. Watch however for one more announcement later this week !
