Janak and Eaton back while Simon Harrison
joins brother Dan in the 14-15 Barons
Trio of forwards join Barons roster

Janak was a class act on the Barons forward lines through the second half of last season.

The Motor Nation Solihull Barons are delighted to announce the final elements of the 2014-15 squad in the return of forwards Tomas Janak and Eddie Eaton coupled to the signing of ex-Telford Titans assistant captain Simon Harrison.

Tomas Janak is one of the most experienced Barons, the Slovak having spent much of the last decade at EPL level with the Barons, Swindon and most prolifically the Telford Tigers who he captained from 2011-2013.

Joining the Barons midway through last season Janak quickly found form on the right wing of the Barons first line and ended the season having averaged close to two points a game.

While Janak, Joe Henry and Josh Bruce gave the Barons a potent first line, the introduction of Eaton helped ensured that the Barons second line was at least as effective.

Playing centre alongside wingers Connor Hubbuck and Rich Slater this trio wreaked havok among opposition defences. The quiet professionalism of Eaton saw him end the season with 15 goals and 21 assists.

Joining these returnees will be Simon Harrison who last season acted as assistant captain for the Telford Titans and will join younger brother Dan as newcomers to the Barons line-up for 2014-15.

Sadly the Barons have been unable to persuade defensive legend Phil Lee to lace up the skates for one more season but we hope to see him around the rink for many more years to come. A full appreciation of Phil will appear on the Barons website over the next few weeks. It is hoped Erik Bakalar may ice for the Barons if needed this season.

With the season quickly approaching however now is the time to snap-up your season ticket for what should be another great series of hockey games. See below for more info......and we also hope to see you this Sunday for a bit of pre-season get-together at the New Waterside - be there !

Eddie Eaton was the pivotal 2nd line centre in the Barons 13-14 squad.
